Something fun for everyone!

I thought I would try an experiment with you all who are following me. I’m going to write a single verse as to the tune of the start of a poem. The idea is to keep the poem going by typing in your verse and then putting the name of the person you are passing it on to at the end (but not as part of the poem itself). I will start.

The beating of your heart.
The sharpness of your breath.
The smile drawn across your face as you hand plays down my chest.

As one final note. If you do not wish to participate, or cannot come up with something, just re-post and type in “pass” and who you are going to pass it to. As for me, I choose to pass it to Cookie! Let’s see how far this can go!

Devotion II

 Give to me riches and treasures with which I could start my life anew.

And I would give them all up just to spend my life with you.

Paint for me sunsets mirrored on calm waters at the end of the day.

I will show you how its beauty could never compare to yours in any way.

Tell me stories of lovers intertwined under star filled skies.

I will simply marvel at how beautiful the moonlight looks reflected in your eyes.

Tell me of a heart in longing, hungry for her lover’s sight.

I will dream of your embrace warming my soul, like a fire on a deep winter’s night.

But above all things in this world seen, and unseen, hold this in your heart to be true.

Of all things I could have in this world I would be happiest with nothing more the rest of my life; as long as I always have you.
